Welcome to the Online Catalogue for the PhotoArt Book Auction 2010.
We are a group of 30 final year BA (Hons) Photographic Art students at the University of Wales, Newport. In keeping with the programme’s aim to realise pertinent outcomes each academic year, we have decided to produce a self-initiated and funded publication to further promote our work to a wider audience. The resulting publication, produced in an edition of 600, will be sent out to a considered list of industry contacts and will be officially launched at events in both London and South Wales.
We have set ourselves an ambitious target of £12,000 to pay for the design, printing and launch events and have already raised just over £8000 towards this. In order to hopefully reach this target, we have decided to collectively put all of our energies into an auction of signed books by artists, writers and photographers.
